About Me

Yes, I am one of the stereotypical "Blogger who writes and drinks coffee." But in my defense, I also like to shake things up and drink Earl Grey (and ONLY Earl Grey. I'm a picky tea drinker, apparently) and sometimes I pour myself a cup of coffee and then leave it to get cold.

I will read basically anything I can get my hands on. From Shakespeare, Biographies, Historic Fiction, Poetry, Fantasies, and Contemporaries to Dystopians, Mysteries, Spy thrillers, Historic Romances, Classics and Non-Fiction on every topic possible...Nothing is safe when I'm in the mood to read.

Which is always.

My favorite genres to write are Fantasy (with sub-genres in fairy tale retellings and dark fantasy) and Contemporary. The contemporaries (ok, let's face it ALL OF MY STORIES) tend to involve hate-love relationships and some Meet-Cute. I do have a couple story ideas for other genres because I'd like to experiment...but I have yet to ever finish plotting one.

I am a plotter (tried "pantsing"...didn't work for me) and I plot EVERYTHING. If I don't plot things, I end of forgetting things (like essential plot details) and adding in random and completely unhelpful things...one character has an intense distaste for rats. Why? I don't know. It's just in this one paragraph (or IS one paragraph) and then is never mentioned in the book again.

Besides writing, reading, and all things books, I like languages and world culture.
I'm currently learning French (!!!) though I basically only know basic greetings, phrases and an unnecessarily large collection of insults and curse words...

Other Interests Include:

Horseback Riding
Knife Throwing
And a whole pile of others!
