Book Lover Tag

So I was over at Coffee, Classics and Craziness and of course, I saw a tag.

....

And so I stole it.

Me: "You need to work on your book and stop doing tags"

Also me: "Oh look. A tag!"

*pounding head on table*

Anyway, this tag is called The Book Lover Tag! You can toodle over to Eva's blog from either of these links. The first one goes to her blog home and the second one goes back to the book tag itself.

Name a book you're embarrassed you haven't read yet:

I'm will not allow myself to be embarrassed for not getting around to reading a book. (Though I do feel a little guilty for not reading the books some of you have suggested...)

Strangest thing you've ever used as a bookmark:

The strangest thing I've used, based on my habits, it an actual book mark. Normally, it's the nearest flat object I can find: receipt, scrap of paper, candy wrapper. You get the drift. I think the weirdest thing I have ever used was a knife (I promise it had no peanut butter on it)

Look at your bookshelf. What's the first book you see with a yellow spine?

Some really old photography book.

If you could have a new book from a deceased author, who would it be from?

J.R.R Tolkien!

Name an author who deserves more readership:

Marissa Meyers books are amazing.

Bookmark or random piece of paper?

I have this awesome bookmark that looks like a tiny oriental rug, so....yeah. Random paper scraps.

Can you stop anywhere or do you have to finish the chapter?

Well, if I "finish the chapter," I actually just keep reading.(*gasp*) So I just stop wherever I am.

One book at a time, or several?

Just one. But I read fast, so I can finish more then one a day.

Do you read ahead or skip pages?

No spoilers. No skipping. Read. It. All.

Breaking the spine or keeping it new?

I don't deliberately break the spine, but sometime they end up a little....well.........

What book do you regret reading:

I said it before and I'll say it again. My Brother Sam Is Dead by I don't even care who wrote it anymore.

This book was dreadful. Sam was the only likable character in the book and you spend the whole book WAITING for him to die.
And. He. Doesn't.

When he FINALLY dies in the second to last chapter, I just heaved a great sigh of relief, because he was FINALLY DEAD.

On average, how many books a year do you read?

Well, the last time I tried keeping count, I read over 100 books. And that wasn't counting nonfiction books I read for school, or books I'd reread.

I normally read a couple books over and over and I probably read at least another 100 books.

So easily over 200.

A book you've read a hundred times and never get tiered of?

The Gallagher Girl series by Ally Carter.

Biggest lesson you've learned from a book?
If you ever become a super villain, (or just any villain) and you catch the  goody two-shoes hero, do not tell them everything "just because they aren't going anywhere."

Book you read most recently?

Arabella, by Georgette Heyer

What book quote you will never forget?

"There are good days and bad days.....don't let the bad days win." Mor, ACOMAF

How many books do you own?

Personally? Like.....five. I get most of my books from the library and my family owns a ton.

In the past year, what is the greatest book you've read

The very best. Hmmm....Either one of the books from the Lunar Chronicles or Heartless. (All of these are written by Marissa Meyer.)

Ta Da!

 Oh yes.

And I tag all you peoples out there.

  3. Breaking books' spine is just....mean. Lol
It drives me crazy when people ruin my books. UGH?!
You own FIVE?!?! I have a bookcase that's overloaded. I need to get another one. Annnnndddd, I'm planning on getting more if I like them. xD
Lol, I love books so....yeah. I'm guessing you've figured that out.
Same for me, if I finish the chapter, I get so tempted to read on. Though, sometimes I finish the chapter if It's leaving me on a cliffhanger from where I'm at.
If I do chapters, Imma make them loooonnngg. The poor peoples who can only read one chapter before bed. I'll give them a good, long, read. (I came up with that conclusion from personal experiences. ) :)
I tagged myself to write an outline. Hehe, my hands are fool. Lol
