Capes, Coffee Shops & Cake // My NaNoWriMo Project

Capes, Coffee Shops & Cake is literally the title of my WIP. (Can you call it a Work In Progress if you actually haven’t started the first draft?)

Some basics:

  • Contemporary...(Or what do you call a book set in current day NYC with Superhero besties?)
  • Dual Narrated in First Person POV
  • I have been plotted it in July, but I have been planning on writting this since March. In fact, it was the project I tried to start for Camp NaNo back in April.
  • I actually had to google how detention works... #Homeschooledwriter

  • I'm expecting it to be around 81K
  • And yes, I am planning on finishing the whole thing during NaNoWriMo
And I am super excited to start. Partually because it is something I have never done before...
  • Gryiffindor and Hufflepuff (Possibly Ravenclaw) MCs (I normally write Slytherins...)
  • First Person POV
  • Dual Narrated
  • Contemporary

And I don't know what else.
I've been having a lot of fun playing around with superhero concepts. Like how do people not figure out who they when the superhero picture and their alter ego picture are face matched?

But you you don't actually want to hear me talk about it. You want Pinterest boards.

So here: WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR

    1. Help us. We homeschoolers don't know how school works. We eat snacks and don't have to raise our hand to use the bathroom. ;)

    1. You're one of the smart people who are going to sit back and watch us go crazy as November looms closer, aren't you.

      (And thank you!)

    2. Yep! Personally, I don't quite see what all the craziness is about, but maybe I'll try it someday. For now, I will watch as everyone goes crazy and pulls their hair out.

      (And you're welcome!) XD

  5. This really cool! Yeep, one downfall about being a homeschool writer is when you put your characters in school, you're constantly think, "Now let's hope that my knowledge of High School Musical will help me..." But good luck on your Nano!
