Book Review: THE ART OF FRENCH KISSING by Brianna R. Shrum

Note: There was some *cough cough* adult content @ one point and swearing throughout.

I'm pretty sure I've said this before once (or twice or a million times) but when it comes to romances, my order of favorites goes: Hate to Love, Meet Cute, and then...Friends to Lovers.

I especially love it when they hate each other and BICKER CONSTANTLY

And when there is always massive tension between the characters and they just HATE EACH OTHER SO MUCH and you can't tell when or where it switches from hatred to love...

OOH! And the ones where the narrator is the last one to fall...so the other person is nice and your narrator is sitting there like, "Grr. Why is he acting like this? WHAT IS HE PLOTTING?"

Or when the narrator is sitting there fuming and says something along the lines of "Ugh. Him and his stupid pretty face getting in my way all the time." And the friends flips a page in her magazine without looking up like, "Hmm hmm. Sure, I believe this. JUST KISS ALREADY."

 ...

I didn't expect to like a contemporary about  chefs this much. Sure, it looked cute. And sure, I smelled a good Hate to Love romance...

But you saw all my Hate to Love expectations above...

 THIS BOOK MET THEM ALL

I loved the characters, (Reid is a cannon Slytherin!!! And I'm pretty sure that Carter is a Ravenclaw.) the story line, the romance, the side romances (got to have a good side ship in there!) and it was so amazingly cute and funny. There is a big NO SPOILER rule between me and my sisters...so to keep myself from blurting out funny/cute parts...well, there was a lot of muffled screaming into my bed.

Not pillows.

Just flat on my face on my bed...

Screaming.

So...to sum up:

I loved this book
And I need some french macarons, ASAP!
