I'm Back!! // End of July

I'm sure you were all busy with your own things and didn't even notice I was gone I am the queen and you missed me. Terribly.

*ahem*

        THINGS THAT HAPPENED IN JULY

  • I read fifteen books!!! (Reviews coming soon!)

  • I competed and completed July's Camp NaNoWriMo!

  • Apparently I use gifs now?

  • I couldn't stay away, so I posted a tag! (in. the. middle. of. my. hiatus. Why am I like this?)

  • I went to the beach and got burned so badly that my skin blistered. It was gross. And painful.

  • But I got to play in the ocean! So all is well!

  • And hiked a small piece of the Appalachian Trail!!!

How was your summer? Did you do Camp NaNoWriMo? Did you do an actually camp? Hike anywhere gorgeous? Go to the beach?

    1. Welcome back!

I went to the beach too, but I didn't blister, I just peeled it was awful.

I'm glad you had a good break!

      1. Peeling skin is the worst. You'll just be out, enjoying life and your friend will hit you with: "Hold on. You got something." And peel off a giant chunk of skin.

        Good times.

    2. SHES BACK!!!!

(15 books, that's crazy talk, girl!!!!)

Ugh. I took a two-day trip to a nearby fishing town (okay, about 4 hours away, so not super local, but still closer than an actual beach destination) and sat in a hotel overlooking the harbor and edited while it rained. And that was my beach trip. Not as exciting as yours, apparently...

But the AT??? Super cool!!! Which section?? I've done over by Mount Rogers, and someday I'd love to hike it an actually camp. I have a hiking pack and everything, just need to find the time...

      1. It was actually closer to 10 when I first starting writing this post, so I had to go back and change it a few times :P

A hotel overlooking a harbor sounds like a great writing place though...with the rain. And the new view.

It was up by Bland, Virginia(You would not believe the amount of puns I made...)I think it was Brushy Mountain. Maybe? It might have been closer to Wolf Creek Mountain...

      3. Well, the town was Bland. So there was a lot of...
"Wow! The food here is so...bland."
        "The view is a little...bland."

    7. Yay! You're back!!! My summer's been going pretty well, I also competed and completed Camp Nano ;) I haven't been camping in awhile, but I did got to an orchestra camp in the second week of June. I haven't been hiking this summer, but over Christmas break (while we were in a mountain village in Mexico) some of my family and I went hiking for 12 hours. It could have been less if my brother and cousin hadn't taken us the wrong way (they deny that they were in the wrong but honestly, why were they leading us when they didn't know the way?!?!?!?!) So I say that I'm pretty good on hiking, and yes, it was gorgeous. I live about 20 minutes away from the beach, but we live near the Mississippi Sound and the water is super murky. If you go out to one of the Barrier Islands its beautiful on the side that touches the Gulf of Mexico. But yeah, we haven't been there in a little bit but I think we're going soon.

Sorry for the long comment xD

*shakes head* Brothers and their trail guide experiences. At least they could own up.
The barrier islands sound so beautiful!

    8. Welcome back! While I didn't go anywhere during July, I went to the beach towards the end of June.

And you read fifteen books?! Wow! (Wish I had time for that. (I probably would if I tried to improve my time management skills. They're a bit lacking at the moment. XD)) Can't wait to read the reviews!

    10. Fifteen books is a lot! Out of all that you read, which book was your favorite??
We were near the part of the Appalachian Trail on our trip we just came back from, but I didn't get to hike on it. I think that would be so much fun!
      Have a great August!
