This post was inspired by the blogging link up Top Ten Tuesday which is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
1.
Obsidio, Book 3 of the Illuminae Files
While I liked Illuminae, Gemina really blew me away...I'm expecting big things of book #3. Big things.
Like going on an emotional roller coaster with all these horrible mind twisty things and then they smash your heart into a million pieces at the end! Fun!
AND OH MY! THEY'RE INTRODUCING A NEW COUPLE! AND THEY'RE "OLD FLAMES AND ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE FIGHT." Prepare. For. Drama. Its coming.
And...and...I think they might kill off someone important.
Like a Main Character.
And I'm kind of freaking out.

So what's on your TBR? Are you excited about any of the same books?
-Mary Kate
I'm excited for Worlds Apart by K.A Emmons and *cough* my book *cough* 😄 But these come out in summer... But that's what I'm excited for. 😁
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
I COMPLETELY FORGOT YOUR BOOK WAS COMING OUT
Delete*smashes head on the table repeatedly*
*crosses fingers* Indeed, it is. I'm pretty sure it will be out August. That's the month I started writing it almost four years ago, so I kind of want to publish then. XD
DeleteOh my, do you need ice for your head?
No, I'm pretty sure I have a thick skull ;)
DeleteI'm so excited, but you also kind of freaked me out because when you said "summer" I was thinking June and...that's soon.
Do you have a plan for a blog tour or anything?
DeleteOh okay. *puts away ice pack*
DeleteWell, I initally planned June, but realized I needed a little more time than that.
I'm still coming up with a blog tour plan. I know there's services I could pay for and have others come up with the plan, but I'd rather do that myself. I can let you know when it gets closer if you want to be a part of the tour. :)
YES! OF COURSE I DO.
Deleteoooooooh I would love to be apart of it too Ivie!!
DeleteLilah
I will add y'all in then when it comes time for that. I'm thinking, if all goes according to plan, the blog tour will be a week or so before releasing so maybe end of July or very early August. I will have sign ups on my blog when it gets closer. <3
DeleteI'm really excited for the sequel to The Blood Race: Worlds Beneath, and the sequel to Renegades, and Fawkes and A Thousand Perfect Notes...and, of course, Ivie's book this summer! :))
ReplyDelete*tilts head*
DeleteFawkes?
It's by the author of the Out of Time trilogy, Nadine Brandes--it's about the Gunpowder Plot and it's historical fantasy ^_^ I got to read an ARC and I can tell you it's pretty awesome.
DeleteHOLD THE PHONE! I don't remember seeing you got to read an ARC... how awesome are we talking here?
Delete*adds to list*
DeleteA Thousand Perfect Notes, is definitely on mine! Daughter of the Pirate King, Caraval, and The Cruel Prince.
ReplyDeleteYou haven't read Caraval?
Delete*happy squeal*
YOU ARE IN FOR THE HAPPIEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE! ITS PERFECT FOR YOU!
Really! Can't wait then!!!
DeleteI forgot, I tagged you for The Spring Cleaning Writer Tag
Deletehttps://skyehoffert.blogspot.ca/2018/03/spring-cleaning-writer-tag.html
Yay! I love tags!
DeleteI’m still trying to catch up on books that came out a while ago, and I just learned about...lol. But I am quite interested in Fawkes!
ReplyDeleteFawkes?
DeleteOk, now I'm going to have to look it up, aren't I?
I can't wait for Not If I Save You First!!! Ally Carter is a great author!
ReplyDeleteAnd DUDE, The Traitor's Game is WONDERFUL. One of Nielsen's absolute best works, imo!!
Great list, MK! :D
AN ALLY CARTER FAN! =D
DeleteI wasn't a big fan of her Mark of a Thief series...because I pretty much hate everything set in ancient rome. But I loved the False Prince and you said it was good so...
I never read Mark of the Thief because I heard the magic was weird. :D And YES, The False Prince!!! Have you read her book The Scourge? That one is good too!
DeleteNo, I've never even heard of Scourge to be honest...Is it about Pirates?
DeleteNo, no pirates are involved. It's about a disease. So... perhaps the teensiest bit cliché, but still pretty good! :)
DeleteI'M SUPER EXCITED FOR IVIE'S BOOK AS WELL AS CAIT'S!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Worlds Apart by K.A. Emmons is going to be epic.
I'm smiling so big right now. AND I NEED WORLDS APART ON MY SHELF!!!
DeleteGoodness, I haven't heard much about these books...*crawls away in shame*
ReplyDeleteI do want to finish The Inheritance Cycle, The Princess Academy books (and find more Shannon Hale books...), and start the Tales of Goldstone Wood books.
As you can see, I'm working down my fantasy TBR pile...

There is no shame in not having heard about books, only happiness because you've now heard of them! (BOOKS)
DeleteI read Tales of Goldstone Wood (whatever the first one is called) and I must say I don't see what all the fuss is about Leo.
I am excited for all of these too! Except The Statistical Probability of Falling In Love because I already read that one :D
ReplyDeleteLilah
You have?
DeleteYOU HAVE? DID YOU LIKE IT? WHAT DID YOU THINK?
I did like it! It's a short story so the only problem I had with it was that it was too short :D And it takes place within the space of one day and I really love books that do that
DeleteL
*happy face*
