Books I Am Going To (Try To) Read This Spring!

This post was inspired by the blogging link up Top Ten Tuesday which is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

1.
Obsidio, Book 3 of the Illuminae Files

While I liked Illuminae, Gemina really blew me away...I'm expecting big things of book #3. Big things.

Like going on an emotional roller coaster with all these horrible mind twisty things and then they smash your heart into a million pieces at the end! Fun!

AND OH MY! THEY'RE INTRODUCING A NEW COUPLE! AND THEY'RE "OLD FLAMES AND ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE FIGHT." Prepare. For. Drama. Its coming.

And...and...I think they might kill off someone important.

Like a Main Character.

And I'm kind of freaking out.

2.
Not If I Save You First by Ally Carter

3.
The Art of French Kissing by Brianna R Shrum
A cooking competition.  Arch nemesis teen chefs...who are forced to work together...

4.
The Statistical Probability of Love At First Sight by Jennifer E Smith
I like statistics...

5.
A Thousand Perfect Notes by C.G. Drews

6.
Wires and Nerve Vol. II
Can you believe I still haven't read it?

7.
The Traitor's Game by Jennifer A. Nielson

8.
#Prettyboy Must Die by Kimberly Reid

9.
Save the Date by Morgan Matson

10.
Bring Me Their Hearts by Sara Wolf

So what's on your TBR?  Are you excited about any of the same books?

    2. *crosses fingers* Indeed, it is. I'm pretty sure it will be out August. That's the month I started writing it almost four years ago, so I kind of want to publish then. XD

Oh my, do you need ice for your head?

      Delete
    3. No, I'm pretty sure I have a thick skull ;)

I'm so excited, but you also kind of freaked me out because when you said "summer" I was thinking June and...that's soon.

    4. Do you have a plan for a blog tour or anything?

      Delete
    5. Oh okay. *puts away ice pack*

Well, I initally planned June, but realized I needed a little more time than that.

I'm still coming up with a blog tour plan. I know there's services I could pay for and have others come up with the plan, but I'd rather do that myself. I can let you know when it gets closer if you want to be a part of the tour. :)

    6. oooooooh I would love to be apart of it too Ivie!!

    7. I will add y'all in then when it comes time for that. I'm thinking, if all goes according to plan, the blog tour will be a week or so before releasing so maybe end of July or very early August. I will have sign ups on my blog when it gets closer. <3

    1. It's by the author of the Out of Time trilogy, Nadine Brandes--it's about the Gunpowder Plot and it's historical fantasy ^_^ I got to read an ARC and I can tell you it's pretty awesome.

    1. AN ALLY CARTER FAN! =D
I wasn't a big fan of her Mark of a Thief series...because I pretty much hate everything set in ancient rome. But I loved the False Prince and you said it was good so...

      Delete
    2. I never read Mark of the Thief because I heard the magic was weird. :D And YES, The False Prince!!! Have you read her book The Scourge? That one is good too!

      Delete
    3. No, I've never even heard of Scourge to be honest...Is it about Pirates?

      Delete
    4. No, no pirates are involved. It's about a disease. So... perhaps the teensiest bit cliché, but still pretty good! :)

I do want to finish The Inheritance Cycle, The Princess Academy books (and find more Shannon Hale books...), and start the Tales of Goldstone Wood books.

    1. There is no shame in not having heard about books, only happiness because you've now heard of them! (BOOKS)

I read Tales of Goldstone Wood (whatever the first one is called) and I must say I don't see what all the fuss is about Leo.

  8. I am excited for all of these too! Except The Statistical Probability of Falling In Love because I already read that one :D

    1. You have?

YOU HAVE? DID YOU LIKE IT? WHAT DID YOU THINK?

      Delete
    2. I did like it! It's a short story so the only problem I had with it was that it was too short :D And it takes place within the space of one day and I really love books that do that
