December Is Over And So Is 2017 And Do You Mind If I Scream?

Because I really, really want to scream.

This month has been so busy I haven't even had time to freak out over the fact that I'm turning 18 next year and that half of my senior year is already gone and WHAT THE HECK? IT SHOULD STILL BE OCTOBER? WHERE DID ALL THE TIME GO?

And I really should do an entire end of the year post, but I decided to be lazy and do all my THE YEAR IS OVER wailing in February when my first year of blogging ends. So that means I just get to do an end of month post for December.

*Throws a tiny handful of confetti over my own head*

POSTS THIS MONTH:

(I am kicking myself. Why did I start using this stupid, really long post names?)

Bookish Settings I Want To Visit [Excluding Ones That Would Make Me Die]

I Went Ice Skating Once, So Now I Am An Expert! Bow Before Me.

Some Of My New Book Obsessions From 2017!

Equestrians//Didn't She Just Do A Post On This? Think Again!

Books On My 2018 TBR Pile!

My Favorite Things To Do In Winter

GUEST POST OVER AT PROJECT CANVAS!

(My note telling you that I did a post over at project canvas)

Christmas Post by Princess Farida and Karin! (Who the heck are they?)

WHAT ELSE I'VE BEEN UP TO:

I plotted another novel! I've written the first few pages, but won't seriously start writing until January.

12K Pageviews? I feel like I should have done something fun back when I hit 10K...but ha ha, who has time for that?

Read a seriously sad amount of books. I mean honestly. This entire month felt like it was a week long.

Midnight Star

Language of Thorns (Wow was it good)

The Invisible Library

The Book Thief

The Masked City (Invisible Library II)

The Burning Page (Invisible Library III)

The Daughter of a Pirate King (or is it THE pirate king?)

So I read a total of seven new books this month. (Plus I re-read 3 or 4.)

That is about a weeks worth of reading for me.

But I had a lovely Christmas and spent time with all of my family and other then that...who cares?

(I also eat an insane amount of gourmet chocolates.)

So did you also feel like this month went by WAY to fast? How was your Christmas?

  1. Can I scream with you because I'm pretty much freaking out!! How can 2017 already be practically over? How can December be over? I'm pretty sure it was just summer recently. XD AAAHHH I can't handle it because in 2018, I'm going to have to adult and I just don't want to adult yet. XD (part of me does, part of me doesn't.)

Christmas was great. I didn't get any books, but I got a lot of awesome stuff I won't say here because I don't want to come off as bragging. I plan to buy some books soon, though. XD

And I'm thinking about doing the reading challenge next year on goodreads to track how many books I read in a year.

    1. I know what you mean. I'm turning 18 next year and just....I already act like an adult, but that doesn't mean I want to be one!

I started the goodreads reading challenge, but...I kind of forgot to keep it updated? Whoops?

    2. Same. I can act like an adult, but its hard to actually be one. :P

Lol, I didn't know you had a Goodreads. I remember you saying you weren't sure if you were going to get one or not. What do you think if it? :)

  2. *screams with you* How it the year over?! Oh well. Hello 2018. Hope you're a good year.

Girl, that's a lot of books! I don't even know if I could read that many in a month! And congrats on the new story idea! Can't wait to hear more about it!

    1. I'm so excited about this story idea. I won't be able to start writing it seriously for another week or two, but you'll be getting snippets pretty soon...

  4. Haha, I can totally relate to the whole "How the heck did I get this old!" thing. And I'm pretty sure the entire month was actually one week long, and the month people just tricked us all into believing it was up to code. Although, now that I think about it, the first two weeks took FOREVER. Hmm. Anyway, Happy New Year and keep writing!

  7. This year went too fast. I still write 2016 on things by accident. I remember being little and looking ahead at the year I would turn 18 (2018) and thinking how far away and unattainable it was. And then I blinked and suddenly it was New Years Eve, 2017, and there were some friends I didn't remember making, and things to talk about that I never thought would happen. I'm excited though, so many of my lifelong dreams are really truly kicking off. Aieeeee!

I am certainly not what mini me was thinking when she looked ahead to 2018...

  8. I DON'T MIND IF YOU SCREAM AS LONG AS I CAN SCREAM WITH YOU. Actually, scratch that, I'm screaming whether or not you do. So you might as well.

(I like your long post names; they have a certain sort of... self-awareness?? like "The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland In A Boat [Ship?] Of Her Own Making". It has a certain flavour. Buuut I can see why you might not enjoy typing them up in review posts xD)
