Writing Goal Focus for February: Work on my NaNoWriMo project from last November and figure out what stories I want to focus on for February and March.
February's Word Count Goal: Write 3,000 words
Writing Progress and Word Count: Check on figuring out what book I want to work on! I don't think the two month timeline is as important, since there are a couple high priority projects to focus on. Th month goal was mainly just to make a decision about what to do until Camp NaNo (if I decide to do it since it IS my senior year and April is kind of "end of semester project season.") And CHECK on the word count!
Writing Goal Focus for March: Continue working on the two projects I decided to focus on until Camp NaNo, but feel free to wander from that path to work on plotting, world building, etc. from other projects. Let creativity run wild!
Next Month's Word Count Goal: Write 3,000 words
Books Read: 5
Book Reading Goals from February: Read at least 6 books, including three non-fiction books and at least one new "for fun" book.
I read two non-fiction books (though I might squeeze in the third book between now and the end of the month...But luckily the other three were "fun" reads.
Though I was reading one of them on a day off* and my
roommate walked by, looked down at my phone (because Kindle app) and
went, "Wait. Are you reading?" (Horror and pitch in voice each go up one
notch) "DO YOU EVER STOP?"
To which I laughed and continued reading.
Not sure if she meant "do you ever stop working (on school, career, etc)" because....No.
OR if she meant "do you ever stop reading" which is also No.
Highlights: I read at a horrifyingly fast rate apparently (ignore the low book count this month, it isn't an accurate representation of my true power) as seen by the fact that I am terrifying this poor child (as you always call adult college student peers). His eyes just got really big and I could hear "I Know How To Make A Boy Cry" by Tegan Marie playing in the back of my mind...
Monthly Book Suggestion: I'm actually not going to suggest a book this month since almost the entire month of March will be dedicated to reviews of some of my all time favorite books!
Book Reading Goals for March: Finish all the non-fiction books for the course if they're not already done by the end of February. Read at least two "fun" books, try a make one of them a re-read of an old favorite I haven't read in a long time. And maybe even BUY a book? (Maybe go to a used bookstore and pick something out I've never read and read it?"
Well, here's to never stopping! (working or reading)
What are your plans for March?

* We (namely me) harassed my school about not giving us a break (because COVID) but we still needed a break because we (the teachers and every student I spoke to) were burned out. So someone (me) may have made a petition or something suggesting that they give us random days off throughout the semester. And they did.
To quote a angry business man from a Pixar film I "PENETRATED THE BUREAUCRACY!"
I always like scaring people with my ability to have an endless string of things I'm reading. Never stop reading. XD
ReplyDeleteNEVER XD
DeleteCan't wait to hear about how you conned the college into letting you read books for credit!
ReplyDeleteAlso, do we ever stop reading? Nope. Not even a chance. XD
We should make a t-shirt :D
Delete"Do you ever stop reading?!?"
"nope" *turns page*
so you managed to scare/scar both your roommate and some random boy with your reading skills *cough* obsession *cough*?
ReplyDeleteThat or they're all weaklings :P
